Inter Milan want to wrap up two loan deals this month for Premier League duo Mohamed Salah and Lukas Podolski.
The Italian team are expected to be busy over the next month with transfer as new manager, Roberto Mancini, looks to stamp his mark on the club and he is ready to raid the Premier League for short-term deals.
According to numerous reports in Italy, Podolski is just days away from complete a six-month loan deal to the San Siro, whilst more reports emerged today that Salah is also close to securing the same deal.
The duo have struggled for game time this season at their respective clubs, and they are both keen to move away on a short-term basis so that they can get regular first-team football under their belts.
Podolski, who has been used as a substitute mainly this season, has vented his frustrations to the media in the past few weeks, declaring the need for his situation to change.
The German is expected to hold talks with Arsene Wenger and according to reports, it's likely that the Frenchman will allow the forward to leave the club until the summer at least, when they will then look to sell him on on a permanent basis.
Podolski has fallen down the pecking order at the Emirates Stadium due to the arrivals of Danny Welbeck and Alexis Sanchez, and with Theo Walcott coming back from his long-term injury, first-team football is going to be hard to find for the German.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Podolski is set for a medical in Italy within the next 48-hours, meaning the deal could be formally announced sometime next week.
They are also reporting that a deal has been agreed between the two clubs and a loan fee has been met.
As for Salah, he is also struggling for first-team football at his club, Chelsea, and with only seven appearances to his name this term, he is also looking set to leave the club on a temporary basis.
According to the same report, Chelsea and Inter have agreed a deal to see the Egyptian go on loan until the end of the season, and in the deal is a clause that will see the 22-year-old join Inter on a permanent basis at the end of the season if he impresses during the six months.
Salah joined Chelsea last January for £11 million from Swiss side, FC Basel, but he has failed to make an impact at Stamford Bridge.
The two deals are expected to be announced and completed next week.
