Edge gives Rollins his seal of approval

This past Monday night on RAW saw legendary tag team Edge and Christian return to the show, but their appearance was marred by a certain superstar.

From the beginning of the show, the pair faced opposition from members of the roster as they were confronted by WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar to begin with.

They ended the show by hosting the first ever Cutting Edge Peep Show and that was where it all went wrong.

With their special guest being Mr Money in the Bank Seth Rollins, the segment will without doubt go down as one of the biggest of 2014.

Rollins invited Lesnar and his Royal Rumble opponent John Cena to the ring for the show but Cena didn't arrive.

The segment ended with Edge being held down by the Big Show and Rollins threatening to break his neck if Cena didn't come to the ring.

Cena showed up and was forced to bring back the Authority and completely reverse all the hard work done by Dolph Ziggler at Survivor Series.

In the aftermath, it has been announced that Edge and Christian will be suing the WWE for the attack but that is purely a storyline court battle.

Edge's real reaction however was more of admiration as he tweeted a very special message.

"There's the torch kid, don't let it go out" - Edge's tweet to Seth Rollins

Edge or as he is referred to these days, Adam Copeland is the latest in a long line to praise the WWE's current biggest heel.

Passing the torch?

Many people claim that there is a so-called passing of the torch match held every now and again at WrestleMania between the previous and the new face of the company.

However the greatest heels don't tend to have these matches, and Edge in his feuds with the Undertaker and Batista is one of the WWE's top heels.

Now a fan favourite, Edge has endorsed the self-proclaimed future of the WWE and given him a big status to live up to.

Rollins has excelled since he destroyed the Shield in June and joined the Authority, and with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon now back, who knows whats next for Mr Money in the Bank?
