Premier League leaders Chelsea eased to what was, eventually, a comfortable victory over Championship side Watford in the third round of the FA Cup at Stamford Bridge.
Willian, Loic Remy and Kurt Zouma all found the net in the second-half for Chelsea following a tepid first 45 minutes, during which the home side struggled to find any sort of fluidity.
This first-half display led Jose Mourinho to make a double change following the interval with Andre Schurrle, who was poor once again, replaced by Willian and the ineffective Oscar removed for Diego Costa.
It proved to be an inspired intervention by Mourinho as Didier Drogba moved to the left-side of an attacking triumvirate and Costa and Remy provided more incision through the centre for Chelsea.
There was, however, to be a vital stop from Petr Cech before Chelsea were able to put their foot down, with the goalkeeper getting a toe to a Troy Deeney shot that had deflected off Cesar Azpilicueta with the score 0-0.

Willian was able to finally break the Watford rearguard shortly before the hour mark with his wonderful curling effort flying into the top corner from 25 yards, and there was no chance of Chelsea allowing their advantage to slip.
It took another 12 minutes for Chelsea to double their lead when Remy latched beautifully onto a lost ball in the opposition area, with his shot flying into the top of the net - an unstoppable effort.
Zouma completed the scoring soon after when he powered a well directed header in from the penalty spot, and this capped off a fine display for the young French centre-back who played in place of captain John Terry.
It was a performance of great promise from Zouma, who was the best player on the pitch by some distance, and Chelsea fans will certainly get to see plenty more of the 20-year-old over the months and years to come.
