Real Madrid midfielder Sami Khedira has been offered the chance to leave the Bernabeu in search of a fresh challenge this month, but quite surprisingly that tempting proposal has not come from any of the top Premier League clubs linked with his signature for more than six months.
Khedira has been monitored by Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea after refusing to hold talks over extending his current deal with Madrid, which expires at the end of this season.
The World Cup winner may not be heading to England after all though, with the Daily Star citing Le Parisien in a report which claims Paris Saint-Germain are preparing a huge offer for Khedira, and want him to join in January rather than waiting until the summer.
PSG want a new midfield talisman
PSG boss Laurent Blanc has decided that the signing of a top central midfielder he can trust is his top priority in 2015, with Khedira and Newcastle United powerhouse Moussa Sissoko targets currently being actively pursued.
Blanc wants to freshen things up in search of another Ligue 1 title and long-term progress in Europe, with Khedira viewed as the ideal man to fit that bill without breaking the bank or risking further punishment in terms of UEFA's Financial Fair Play regulations.

Why no offer from Arsenal?
PSG are confident they can put together a quick deal for Khedira because he's made it abundantly clear he'll leave the Bernabeu for the right project, after falling down the pecking order at Madrid thanks to the likes of Toni Kroos and Luka Modric.
Modric may be out injured but that hasn't changed Khedira's mind, with Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti forced to concede that despite his best efforts the 27-year-old looks set to move on in 2015, sooner rather than later.
That stance makes Arsenal's decision not to move for an established, world-class box-to-box midfielder look all the more startling, with an tentative summer approach eventually halted thanks to the Madrid star's hefty wage demands.
PSG will have to move one of their own high earners on to get a deal done within budget this month, but Ezequeil Lavezzi and Edinson Cavani are both for sale at the right price and therefore this blockbuster January deal is very much on the cards.
