Liverpool will be hoping that a typo on the BBC Sport Twitter account will save them £22,999,977 as they look to bring Saido Berahino to Anfield.
The national broadcaster’s Monday gossip column featured a rumour that Liverpool would be submitting a bid for the West Brom starlet – but a simple omission of the letter “m” meant that, when the story was posted on Twitter, it looked as if the Reds would be offering the Baggies a measly £23 for the striker!

West Bromwich Albion made light of the incident though as they replied to BBC Sport’s tweet with their official account saying: “@BBCSport £23? We'll get back to you on that one... :-)”
