WWE: TNA offer Alberto Del Rio big money deal

Former WWE champion Alberto Del Rio has been offered a mainstream wrestling lifeline by TNA, it has been revealed.

The fired former WWE star has been handed the opportunity to join his former employer's rival TNA on what is said to be a big money deal.

Wrestlinginc.com has reported that Alberto Del Rio is the subject of three offers from TNA, Lucha Underground and Bellator MMA.

Huge offer

"Big money is reportedly being offered to Alberto Del Rio by TNA, Lucha Underground and Bellator MMA, which is owned by former TNA partner Spike TV's parent company Viacom," wrestlinginc.com reported.

"Regarding a return to MMA, it's said that Del Rio can make really good money if he wants to fight but at least word he had not decided and that could be a strong indication that he's sticking to pro wrestling."

Del Rio to become the face of TNA?

TNA is currently in the process redefining itself, with Impact Wrestling coming to the fore, and the wrestling company is looking for Del Rio to spearhead this new-look TNA.

"Dixie Carter reportedly wants Del Rio for this Wednesday's live Impact Wrestling premiere on Destination America. TNA really wants a big name that's new to TNA for the Destination America premiere but there's been no word of any major signings and the event is this Wednesday night."

Del Rio left WWE in acrimonious circumstances last year after he was fired for slapping a WWE employee. But the Mexican wrestler maintains he was racially abused and thus provoked during the incident. One can imagine that Del Rio feels a return to wrestling with TNA would be a perfect way to put one over on his old employers.
