The Authority returned to RAW tonight and their influence was almost immediate as they wasted little time in changing everything.
Three superstars in particular felt the wrath of the Authority on a controversial night but they have almost reshaped the Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View too.
They began their first RAW back in charge by summoning every superstar on the roster to the ring before they made some big announcements.
They made matches for every member of Team Cena from Survivor Series and they were as one sided as only Authority matches could be.
It was a bad night for the fans and superstars in general as several felt the wrath of the Authority on their return.

- WWE cut top Superstar from shows ahead of Royal Rumble
- WWE legend announces huge career decision
Their first order of business however was to take the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match scheduled for the Royal Rumble, and make a big change to it.
The match had previously been a one-on-one clash between John Cena and Brock Lesnar in what should have been an epic final showdown between the two.
Now however, the Authority have made it a triple threat match for the title and added their golden boy Seth Rollins to the main event.
Rollins will now take on Cena and Lesnar as he attempts to hold not only the Money in the Bank briefcase but the WWE World Heavyweight Championship as well.
The Authority made a big impact on both Rollins' and Cena's imminent future in their return, but they also changed the careers of three more men.
Bad night for Team Cena
Dolph Ziggler, Ryback and Erick Rowan, otherwise known as the other members of Team Cena all suffered at the hands of the Authority.
Aside from being placed in unfair matches that saw all three of them lose and Ziggler lose his Intercontinental Championship, they were all fired too.
Three of the biggest names in the company right now are by all appearances out the door with no way back.
It is unlikely that the likes of Ziggler, Ryback and Rowan will never grace WWE TV again but it seems that for the time being, we will be without them for a few weeks.
