Liverpool attacking midfielder Suso will be leaving in the summer to join Italian side AC Milan.

The Spaniard has reportedly signed a four year deal with the Italian side which will begin when his contract ends in the summer, according to the Daily Mail.

Suso hasn't featured for the Reds first team since the Capital One Cup victory over Championship side Middlesbrough in September.

Anfield failure

The 21-year old made his debut for Liverpool in September 2012 and Rodgers was so impressed with the youngster that he featured in the next Premier League game against Manchester United.

Since then opportunities have been very limited with Suso only featuring 12 times since his Premier League debut.

Rodgers will be hoping to clear out some of the fringe players in his squad ahead of strengthening his squad both now and in the summer.

Struggles

The Northern Irishman's side haven't been good enough this season and currently sit seven points adrift of the Champions League positions.

Liverpool will be looking to strengthen in the midfield in the summer after the news that Reds captain Steven Gerrard will be leaving at the end of the season.

This development makes it clear that despite Gerrard leaving, Suso is not part of Rodgers' future Liverpool plans.
