Inter Milan have had discussions with Tottenham Hotspur over a potential move for defensive midfielder Paulinho, according to Italian sources.

Tutto Mercato Web revealed that the Nerazzuri have been interested in signing the Brazilian anchor man for some time and made enquiries for him over the last few weeks. The midfielder has found opportunities under new manager Mauricio Pochettino scarce after his role in Brazil’s ignominious exit at their home World Cup last summer.

Roberto Mancini is keen to complete the transfer as soon as possible as the 26-year-old is also wanted by Bundesliga side Schalke 04.
