The 2015 Royal Rumble is just over two weeks away and the only known participants in one of WWE's biggest annual events are the returning Daniel Bryan and the 'champion in waiting' Roman Reigns.
That was until last night.
Appearing on Tuesday' Main Event, Russian Superstar Rusev announced to the WWE Universe that he has become the third wrestler confirmed to take part in the January 25th event.
The move is sure to stir up speculation and intrigue amongst WWE fans with Rusev serving as one of the biggest heels in the business at present.
The WWE issued the following image on their Instagram account hyping up the Russian's inclusion.
The behind the scenes snap was accompanied by the following threat from the Superstar himself who is clearly confident about his chances:
"Enemies of #Rusev will go over the top rope and fall to the ground at the #RoyalRumble. @thelanawwe #WWE #MainEvent"

Rusev's rise up the ranks in WWE has been impressive to say the least - continuing his undefeated reign as United States Champion.
His character has at times had run ins with controversy, not least regarding 2014's NH17 plane crash references, but there is no doubt that he has proven himself as a man WWE fans love to hate.
As such he will provide impressive opposition to anyone he encounters in the Royal Rumble ring. It would be no surprise to see him stick around for a decent amount of time too as he comes up against the great and the good of the main roster.
Royal Rumble hype
Daniel Bryan's surprise inclusion in the show-stopping event is grabbing all the headlines at present and the WWE has ensured big viewing figures with his appearance.
There remain 27 others names yet to be confirmed alongside Bryan, Reigns and Rusev however and there are sure to be some surprises along the way. One man who may now stand little chance of success though is Randy Orton. The Superstar is recovering from surgery and will only return to action in the days before the event, leaving little time for preparation required to be the last man standing.
