Since hanging up his boots it’s fair to say Paul Scholes has been far more loose-lipped than many people expected. Low and behold the Old Trafford legend finds himself at the centre of attention once more, after claiming that many figures in the dressing room reacted adversely to the signings of Manchester United fan favourites Nemanja Vidic and Patrice Evra. The duo were signed by Sir Alex Ferguson in 2006 but Scholes has revealed they inspired little confidence early on in their respective careers with the Red Devils. Vidic went on to become United captain whilst Evra got as far as being named vice. In transfer news Victor Valdes has insisted it is a dream come true to sign for United, as the ex-Barcelona man put pen to paper yesterday. It remains to be seen yet whether he’s been ushered in incase David de Gea leaves in the summer, but he will provide Louis van Gaal with a highly experienced number two.
