Friday was a big night in the NBA as winning streaks came to an end, losing streaks continued and some teams picked up some big wins in heavyweight clashes.
The most anticipated match of the night came at The Palace of Auburn Hills between the inform Detroit Pistons and the #1 seed in the East, the Atlanta Hawks.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope was the top scorer in the game with 20 points and did all he could to try and extend Detroit's surprising win streak to eight.
Caldwell Pop scored 20 points in the game but the Pistons also had four players above 10 points in the game with the lowest of them being Brandon Jennings on 14.
Atlanta saw all of their starters reach double digits with Al Horford their top scorer with 19 points in the game.

Atlanta got the win they were looking for in the end however emerging as very tight 106-103 winners and extending their own winning streak to seven.
The Hawks however now face a tough game against the Washington Wizards on Sunday night in a clash of the highly seeded.
The Pistons lose their first game since waiving Josh Smith and will now be hoping to bounce right back in their next game against the Brooklyn Nets.
Philadelphia make it 2 in 3
The Philadelphia 76ers may be 6-29 this season but they gained their second win in three matches tonight with a hard fought victory over the Brooklyn Nets.
The Sixers ran out 90-88 winners at the Barclays Center and now make it two wins in their last eight games.
With the Nets and the Cleveland Cavaliers as the teams unable to beat the Sixers, they will be hoping to make it two in a row when they face the Indiana Pacers on Sunday.
The Nets however now face a trip to the Detroit Pistons in a match of two teams who will both need the win.
Cleveland fall again
With LeBron James still sidelined thanks to injury the Cleveland Cavaliers fell to their seventh loss in their last eight games.
The Cavaliers lost 112-94 on their trip to the Golden State Warriors and fell to their fourth straight loss and 19-17 on the season.
The Warriors meanwhile made it six in a row and remain as the number one seed in the Western conference.
Washington win the big one
In the game that brought together two of the best teams this season tonight saw the Washington Wizards come out victorious over the Chicago Bulls.
The Wizards won 102-86 in a very convincing home court performance with Marcin Gortat their star man with 21 points in the game.
Washington make it three in a row and six in their last nine ahead of a huge trip to the Atlanta Hawks.
The Bulls however are now 25-12 and have lost their last two games to the Wizards and the Utah Jazz.
