Cristiano Ronaldo will win this year's Ballon d'Or, presented this afternoon in Zurich, according to Spanish media.
Both Marca and AS lead their front pages with Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of the awards ceremony. They report that, barring a massive upset, Cristiano Ronaldo will win the award ahead of Lionel Messi and Manuel Neuer.
It all kicks off this afternoon, with the Ballon d'Or announcement not expected until around 6:30pm GMT.
Ronaldo, after a fantastic individual season for Real Madrid, has long been the favourite despite Neuer helping Germany to the World Cup and Messi's similarly impressive performances for club and country.
The Portugal international flopped at the World Cup in Brazil, but his record this year - 52 goals in 43 games at a crazy rate of 62 minutes per La Liga goal - cannot be matched by Messi.
Both recorded 17 assists last year, while Messi became La Liga's all-time top scorer during 2014. However, the Barcelona ace did not win a major trophy in the calendar year.
Away from the main prize, there are a number of other awards up for grabs in Switzerland tonight. The Puskas Award, given to the best goal of the year, is expected to be won by another Real Madrid player, this time James Rodriguez.
The Colombian's stunning volley for his country at the World Cup is the favourite, ahead of Stephanie Roche and Robin van Persie's diving header against Spain.
With the announcement for both awards expected later this evening, have your say on who you believe should win this year's prizes.
