Arsenal fans could be getting news of the club's first January transfer deal "in the next few days", as one established Arsene Wenger target is set to have his future decided, according to the president of his club.
While most supporters are in agreement that the Gunners' priority should be acquiring another centre-back and established defensive midfielder, there will be no surprise that Wenger has devoted some time in trying to bring in a talented youngster.

The Arsenal manager is famed for his talent at spotting a promising player and Krystian Bielik is the latest name to be connected with a potential Emirates Stadium switch. However, it has been reported in his native Poland that he has just returned from a trial at Hamburg, so Wenger may have to act fast.
Reports over the past week have claimed that Bielik's club, Legia Warsaw, have already turned down two bids from the Premier League giants and Polish sports news site Sport.pl are reporting that a third bis is imminent.
Legia's president Boguslaw Lesnodorski confirmed that the 17-year-old had been on trial with the Bundesliga side, but insisted that nothing had been decided and there was still no decision made on his future. However, he indicated that Arsenal would not have to wait long before one is.

"Krystian has just returned from Germany. At this time, it's hard to say something new about his future," he is quoted as saying in the report - the translation provided by Sport Witness.
"I expect that in the next few days all will be revealed. That's not to say that Krystian will certainly depart from us. This is not a foregone conclusion. He can go, but he can also be with us. He's a sensible and reasonable guy."
Transfer Tussle Looming
So it appears that Wenger has something of a tussle on his hands, with the Polish club likely to string out any Hamburg interest in a bid to drive up the price - turning down two bids indicates they are already clear on how much Bielik is worth.
Whatever the price, it appears that Legia have a talent on their hands in the form of the former Lech Poznan youth star. He is a defensive midfielder and has even been dubbed the 'new Patrick Vieira' in some quarters, which will sound good to Arsenal fans.
It is precisely one of the problem areas currently dogging the Gunners' development this season, but Wenger will certainly not see the raw midfielder as an option for the present. Though it would be little surprise if the French tactician decided to throw Bielik at the deep end should another spate of injuries occur.
