Has it been a busy day in the January transfer window? Is there such a thing? The answer to these questions follow in the paragraphs below. There are plenty of rumours flying around the Emirates Stadium, but only one deal looks like getting done in the next few days.
Meanwhile the search for key targets goes on as Arsene Wenger struggles as he always seems to do in the January transfer window. Take a look at the biggest transfer stories of today.

The biggest transfer revelation of the day comes from a deal completed over two years ago with Samir Nasri admitting he held secret talks with Manchester United before leaving Arsenal in 2012. The Frenchman revealed that Sir Alex Ferguson told him a deal to bring him to Old Trafford could start a war, and helped him make the final decision to sign for Manchester City.
Another player who looks set to leave north London is striker Benik Afobe after Wolves manager Kenny Jackett confirmed he had agreed a deal with the Gunners for a permanent deal. The England Under-21 international has been in fine form for the MK Dons this season, but will cut his loan spell short to join the Championship strugglers.
As one youngster goes out another could come in after Legia Warsaw president Boguslaw Lesnodorski revealed the future of Arsenal target Krystian Bielik could be resolved in the coming days. The 17-year-old has already declared a desire to join the Gunners and it is believed Wenger is ready to launch a third bid after his opening two were rejected.

But while Bielik is one for the future, Wenger has confirmed he intends to sign an experienced centre-back in the next 14 days. Mathieu Debuchy is set for a spell on the sidelines after dislocating his shoulder meaning Arsenal are desperately short of cover in defence.
Finally, not exactly transfer news but something that should be cheered across the football world. An incredulous Arsenal fan was photographed moments after a steward confiscated the mother of all social faux pas: the selfie stick. Arsenal have told fans not to bring their ridiculous gadgets to the Emirates before, but this lady obviously didn't get the memo.
