WWE: 'Fired' Dolph Ziggler and Ryback to return before Royal Rumble

Published 20 Comments

On last week's Monday Night Raw, The Authority fired both Dolph Ziggler and Ryback as part of a storyline plot after they crossed Triple H and Stephanie McMahon and sided with John Cena.

Subsequently, Triple H and McMahon acted abruptly in an equally shocking and insane manner. The wrestlers were 'fired' and told to blame John Cena for losing their livelihoods.

Anyway, the bizarre storyline is not supposed to last too long, with reports emerging today that both Ryback and Dolph Ziggler will make a return before Royal Rumble.

Ziggler and Ryback fired

Ziggler tried his best to make the firing of himself, Ryback and Erick Rowan sound interesting with a cleverly play statement release via social media last week as he blurred the lines of entertainment and reality.

But obviously the firing was kayfabe, and wrestling news are reporting that the stars will be back in action before Royal Rumble.

Set for epic return?

"The three “fired” Superstars (Ryback, Dolph Ziggler, and Erick Rowan) are not scheduled to be at Raw tonight in New Orleans. The company will have them back on the show back by the Royal Rumble or even as soon as next week," wrestling news reported

"Whatever it is they will be back soon because they are needed on the house shows. One idea talked about is having them sit in the crowd at and “invade” the show."

We'll have to wait and see on that one, but the thought of them invading the show does sound pretty epic. In the mean-time, Ryback is also doing his best to play the part on social media, with this epic tweet on Monday.

Interesting times ahead. Watch this space.
