Cristiano Ronaldo was forced to pause a recent interview after his son Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., threatened to steal the show for the second time this week.

Ronaldo is usually a wanted man when it comes to journalist's time but this week has been particularly busy for the Real Madrid star. He was named the world's best player for the third time in his illustrious career, taking home his hat-trick Ballon d'Or title in Zurich on Monday.

But while Ronaldo was supposed to be the star of the show, it was his son who stole the crowd's heart. The youngster was filmed meeting Barcelona star Lionel Messi when Ronaldo admitted to his rival that he was something of a super fan.

Super fan to Superman

And it seems Ronaldo Jr loves the spotlight just as much as his father as he could not help but storm an interview with the official Portugal national team channel. Swapping his adorable tux for a more apt Superman costume, Ronaldo Jr stole the heart of the interviewer, who insisted he come on and give his superstar father a hug.

Ronaldo has 105 million fans on Facebook and is closing in on Shakira to become to most liked human on the social media website. But at this rate his own son could become more popular than him.

Growing popularity

He is certainly going the right way about it. His video with Messi was the top trending video on Youtube globally on Wednesday and the video of him storming Ronaldo's latest interview has already garnered over 200,000 views in under 24 hours.
