The January transfer window is well under way and, well, nothing has happened. Not really.
Sure, Manchester City have signed Wilfried Bony from Swansea for a fee of £28 million but that's pretty much it. So far there's been nothing from big-spending Chelsea, bugger all from re-building Manchester United, and zilch from Liverpool and Tottenham.
But is that likely to change any time soon? Frankly, we have no idea. But do you want to see which baseless rumours are being peddled about by today's nationals in the hope of a few clicks? Of course you do, so here we go - all the best rumours and news from Saturday January 17.

Van Gaal praises defensive unit
Louis van Gaal has heaped praise on his leaky defence ahead of their key clash with QPR this afternoon. The Dutchman has had a myriad of problems at the back this season thanks to injury, and so far they have shipped 21 goals but Van Gaal believes his backline are up there with the best.
"It's not only defensive organisation you have to judge,” he said in an interview with MUTV. “For example, against Southampton, we had 60 per cent of ball possession. We were the dominant team but we lost and the result is, of course, always the most important aspect.
“Defensively, everybody was saying I don't have the right defenders but they cannot write that anymore because this kind of figure [only conceding seven goals in 12 matches] is, of course, very good.”
Arsenal legend blasts Van Gaal over Falcao snub
Van Gaal has got himself in a spot of bother with none other than Paul Merson, who has hit out at his decision to drop Radamel Falcao for the loss against Southampton. The former Arsenal ace said: "It’s a bit late to be playing Radamel Falcao now – I think the horse has bolted, he should have been involved against Southampton. It’s an absolute joke.
“I think Louis van Gaal was trying to show him who was boss but it’s backfired."
