Chelsea can ensure they secure their place at the top of the Premier League table for another week by beating Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium this afternoon.
Failure to seal all three points will allow reigning champions Manchester City to overtake Jose Mourinho’s side - providing they defeat Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
For Chelsea, this is their first away fixture since the shocking 5-3 defeat to Tottenham at White Hart Lane on New Year’s Day.
Mourinho’s men take on a Swansea side who have lost just one of their previous five league fixtures - but are without a win in three and lost the services of star player Wilfried Bony earlier this week.
Bony would not have played anyway because of his participation at the African Cup of Nations, but the onus now falls on French striker Bafétimbi Gomis to score the Swans’ goals.
