Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville are all set up for a feisty appearance on Monday Night Football this evening - after spending the afternoon at each other's throats.
The unlikely duo have forged one of the more successful partnerships in football television recently for Sky Sports and often duke it out over the game's biggest issues live on television in front of millions.
The pair have been doing just that today, but instead of waiting for the cameras to start rolling, they have taken to Twitter to air their grievances.
It all started innocuously enough, with Neville tweeting a list of topics that the pair are set to discuss this evening ahead of Everton's showdown against West Brom. He wrote: "MNF tonight - United - Back 3 v Back 4 , The New ,Ugly, Aggressive, Horrible Arsenal and Front 3's with Pelle/Tadic/Elia".
Carragher took exception to Neville's list and responded that he'd only be willing to discuss about his beloved Liverpool. Neville, as a Manchester United legend, didn't miss the chance to aim a dig at his colleague.
In response to the Liverpool man's remark of: "Do what you want I'm doing Liverpool” Neville shot back with: "On Uk Gold with the highlights of their last title!" Ouch.
Not to be outdone, Carragher hit back at an oft-heard refrain that Liverpool fans bombard their Manchester United rivals with.
"And those *FIVE* European Cups don't forget,” he wrote, referring to Liverpool's superiority in Europe over Manchester United. Double ouch.
Determined to have the last word Neville wouldn't let the issue rest there and had a few words to say on Liverpool's success on the continent. "Was that when you had to play 4 games to win it! The Backpass Cup".
The duo will take their, ahem, creative tension, onto the set this evening. Who knows, it could be fireworks.
