As previously stated, when a WWE event is so open and consists of so many wrestlers as with the Royal Rumble, the predictions of who will win coming from any WWE legend should be well valued.
Previously, WWE legend Jim Ross explained his choice for the Royal Rumble winner this year as Roman Reigns, stating:
"...My feeling is that Roman Reigns wins the Royal Rumble. He has a great look. He has the confidence of the promotion, so I think he’d be a great potential winner."
It came as a bit of a surprise therefore when Ross recently took to his blog to express his change of views on who will come out as the winner of the 30-man match:
"I've waffled on the winner of the Rumble match itself several times, perhaps I should have been a professional politician, but my latest 'gut feeling' is that Daniel Bryan takes home the WM31 main event spot."

In reality, neither of Ross' predictions are surprising as the majority of the WWE Universe has gone with either Reigns or Bryan as their pick too.
But the reason behind Ross' change in selection is not clear - perhaps he simply could not make up his mind or maybe he even knows something about who is likely to succeed in the event which takes place this Sunday, 25th January, in Philadelphia.
Ultimately, this year's opening pay-per-view event is extremely exciting in so many ways. There are many matches whose winners are more than hard to call, and the huge Royal Rumble event itself is no exclusion.
For many WWE followers, Roman Reigns is the clearest choice for the win as the industry could set this up to be his year, following his prominence in 2014 being cut short after he required emergency surgery for a hernia.
Bryan though, on a similar note, had his reign as WWE World Heavyweight Champion cut short through injury, and now he is back and seemingly fitter than ever both physically and mentally - winning this event could set the standard for what we should expect from him this year.
It seems as though a Bryan win this coming Sunday is what the majority of fans want to see but a Reigns win would also please many followers of WWE.
Either way we are sure, as ever, to see an intriguing and entertaining Royal Rumble match and pay-per-view event as a whole, to enable WWE to kick-start 2015 and ultimately please its fans.
