Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira has rejected a contract offer at the club, according to Spanish football expert Guillem Balague.
Balague has revealed that United have now made a first offer to renew the player's contract, but the Brazilian youngster has turned down the opportunity to commit his long term future at the club.
Future in doubt?
It appears, then, that the future of Pereira is now in serious doubt, with it uncertain as to whether Manchester United will make their highly rated star a second offer.
There's no doubt about it, despite the fact that Pereira has struggled to breakthrough into the first team under Louis van Gaal this term, he's recognised as one of the club's finest young talents.
After all, Van Gaal handed him his first team debut earlier on in this campaign as the Red Devils were humiliated in the Capital One Cup at the hands of MK Dons.

However, with the likes of James Wilson and Adnan Januzaj proving their credentials in the first team on a regular basis, Pereira may well have been hoping for more chances to succeed this season.
And, with the player out of contract at the end of the season, his future may now lie away from the club, as he looks to progress his career.
In truth, though, Pereira has his work cut out to become a regular in the middle of the park at the Theatre of Dreams.
United have a number of players at their disposal in the midfield area, with the likes of Daley Blind, Marouane Fellaini, Michael Carrick and even captain Wayne Rooney playing in that area of the pitch.
The Pogba factor
United fans, though, will be hoping that Van Gaal and Co. step up their efforts to keep the Belgian born midfielder at the club after previously seeing Paul Pogba depart the club after running down his contract.
And now, after leaving United in 2012, Pogba is recognised as one of the leading midfielders in world football, so fans of the Red Devils won't want to see lightning strike twice.
