Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic got up close and personal with one particularly unlucky Liverpool fan during last night's Capital One Cup semi-final first leg clash at Anfield.
The unsuspecting Reds supporter caught a whiff of the Serbian stopper midway through Tuesday's 1-1 draw as he retreated towards the crowd to take a throw-in on the touchline, and judging by her hilarious reaction what she smelt was not particularly pleasant.
In fairness to Ivanovic he had spent the best part of an hour marauding backwards and forwards on the right-flank, so he could hardly be expected to smell his best. But, the 30-year-old's odour must have been exceptionally bad to prompt such an over-the-top response.
The Liverpool supporting lady demonstrated exactly what she thought of the Blues full-back by ferociously waving her hand in front of her nose, an action that was picked by the Sky TV cameras and resulted in a variety of different video clips and vines being shared across social media.
Chelsea fans will undoubtedly want to defend one of their longest serving players and will probably be planning their payback ahead of the second leg at Stamford Bridge, with a number of vengeful chants likely to already be in the pipeline.
Eden Hazard's first-half penalty had given Jose Mourinho's side an early advantage on Merseyside, but they were later pegged back when Raheem Sterling scored a fine solo goal soon after the interval.
However, despite Liverpool's dominance it's the Blues that will fancy their chances of booking a place in the Wembley final on March 2 as they look to make home advantage count when the two sides meet again in west London next week.
