Reports are linking Axel Witsel with Manchester United again, after the Belgian midfielder admitted his love for the club.
In an interview with Bleacher Report, the 26-year-old midfielder revealed his admiration for United, and admitted he would love to play in Premier League in the future. Witsel also talked about his relationship with Belgian compatriot Marouane Fellaini, claiming he knows Fellaini well thanks to the time they were team-mates at Standard Liege.
Talking up move
His interview, of course, only helped to fuel speculation that another Belgian star could join the former Premier League champions. United is still seeking the best solution to their midfield headache, and Witsel, who is widely considered one of the best box-to-box midfielders in Europe, may be the right answer.
With Zenit struggling with money problems following the crash of the rouble, as well as UEFA Financial Fair Play rules, United could have a fairly good chance of acquiring the club's old target. should Louis van Gaal reignite interest. The prospect of having Belgium's first-choice midfield pair at Old Trafford could certainly factor into his decision.
They, however, still want one important thing to be clarified: How much Witsel will cost the club?

Zenit paid Benfica £32.5 million for Witsel back in 2012, and the Russian club is thought to have no intention of selling him for any less than that. Witsel is good, but is he that good. With that amount of money, United would expect one of the best midfield enforcers around, not one who still has plenty to prove.
