FIFA 15 is able to represent a wide spread of emotions. Rage quits, tantrums and impetuous celebrations. It's a medium of expression
Celebrations are a good example of this. Allowing for plenty of freedom and creativity, they can certainly get a point across.
Most people will have been subjected to a belly flop or a petulant shush, with players able to choose from a long list of renowned celebrations, with button combinations reminiscent of Mortal Kombat fatalities.
It makes it all the more impressive that Tony Guy and 3spooky5me have managed to synchronise celebrations on FIFA Pro Club. Extended through fancy editing to a full one minute 40 seconds, the achievement has been set to Uptown Funk.
The video stands as a tribute to creativity and sheer chance, moving forward, not backward; upward not forward always twirling, twirling, twirling towards the freedom of dance.
The whole thing is a bit of a surreal experience, made only worse (or better) by character editing. Gunk, one of the players in question, looks rather like a chinless Leighton Baines, while SME, the other of the two, shares appearances with the horrifying outcome of splicing Pinocchio and Shaft.
Taking a slightly more colourful turn as the chorus kicks in the effect is akin to a fever dream after a particularly bad bout of malaria. Lighting up like a disco in Benidorm it is worth staying around for. It certainly makes for quite an experience.
It might just be The Greatest Pro Club Fifa Celebration of All Time (well, that's how it is being billed) made better by Mark Ronson and chromatic colours.
