Real Madrid beat Manchester United to the top of the Football rich list

Spanish giants Real Madrid have beaten Manchester United to the top of the Deloitte football rich list for the 2013/14 season. The success marks the tenth consecutive year that Los Blancos have been crowned the most financially powerful club in football, with United moving from fourth to second, and Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain rounding off the top five. In tennis Andy Murray has been told that parting ways with former coach Ivan Lendl may have been a mistake, though it should see him win more Grand Slams. Ex-Wimbledon champion Goran Ivanisevic has insisted that the Scot’s decision to break his bond with Lendl, said to be due to the coach not being able to commit to certain days on tour, could be one that he will regret in the future. Meanwhile Manny Pacquiao has suggested that Floyd Mayweather might be scared to lose, as the American has yet to sign his half of the super-fight agreement.
