A promotional billboard from the WWE advertising WrestleMania 31 later this year may have just revealed Vince McMahon's plans for the main event.
The billboard, which was captured by a Twitter user and brought to our attention by Wrestling Inc, shows Brock Lesnar potentially taking on Roman Reigns in the main event, with Sting and Triple H facing off as well in the WWE's biggest pay-per-view of them all.
WrestleMania takes place in just over two months and will be hosted at Levi's Stadium in California, the new home of the San Francisco 49ers which opened just last year with a rumoured 70,000 people said to be attending.
The billboard confirms what we've known all along about the Sting and Triple H feud culminating in an epic encounter at Mania, but it also holds a surprise as well.
Earlier in the week, promotional material now pulled from an event in Allentown was advertising John Cena as the WWE Heavyweight Champion for a house show in March taking place in the Pennsylvania city. However, in the billboard we can clearly see that Brock Lesnar is still holding the WWE Heavyweight Championship belt over his shoulder, suggesting Reigns is taking him on for the title.
So, either one of the Mania billboard or AllenTown promotional material are wrong, or a madcap set of circumstances is in line that will see Lesnar potentially losing his belt at the Royal Rumble this weekend, but winning it back before WrestleMania and somehow defending them against Roman Reigns in a storyline that seems too crazy even for WWE.
This should be treated as just a rumour however. We do not yet know if this is indeed the planned matches or if WWE are just giving top billing to these two stars.
