WWE is facing a huge backlash following its Royal Rumble pay-per-view that ended in underwhelming fashion and lead to a chorus of boos from the WWE fans present in Philadelphia.
Even The Rock's surprise appearance at the huge pay-per-view was not enough to rescue what was an essentially dreadful thought out piece of television. The predictability aspect seemed to get to most fans, with Roman Reigns' Royal Rumble win not surprising anybody.
To make matters worse, WWE used their Facebook page to interact with fans post-Royal Rumble to measure their response to the pay-per-view. Considering the fact that #CancelWWENetwork was trending worldwide after fans crashed the cancel WWE Network page following the show, the response to the WWE's online poll was never going to be good.
WWE asked fans the simple question 'did you enjoy the Royal Rumble?' via their Facebook page and the response was terrible. Asked to click on Thumbs Down or Thumbs Up, at the time of writing 22K people clicked Thumbs Down and only 6.6K had chosen Thumbs Up. Safe to say, the vast majority of WWE fans hated Royal Rumble.
But why did those fans hate Royal Rumble? The Rock returned and the triple-threat match with Brock Lesnar, Seth Rollins and John Cena was entertaining. Well, see below for some of the most angry fans following the event, with these tweets gaining validation on social media in the form of retweets and favorites.

Unhappy with Bryan's early exit
To say that WWE fans are not happy with the early departure of Daniel Bryan from Royal Rumble would be an understatement. Fans across the globe took particular issue to WWE's decision to force Bryan out early and thus end up with Rusev as the runner-up.
But for those that think Bryan's bad night was the only reason WWE fans let their frustrations be known, other fans say in no uncertain terms that Royal Rumble's end - in which Reigns thought he'd won before Rusev re-entered the ring - got to them as well.
WWE certainly needs to listen to their fans before even more of them try to #CancelWWENetwork.
