It seems like a long time since we last saw the Viper Randy Orton on WWE TV and our wait was prolonged last night.
With the controversial Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View last night, Orton was advertised and many expected him to make his return in the 30-man main event.
As the entrants came out and the remaining spots narrowed, everyone was waiting for the expectedly face return of Randy Orton.
They waited and waited and eventually Dolph Ziggler came out at number 30 to guarantee the Viper wouldn't be returning.
The rumours were rife that Orton would be back last night as he was in Philadelphia at the Wells Fargo Center and even sported in his competing attire.

The very well known music that accompanies the 12-time WWE Champion was not heard and some were left wondering why.
According to Ringsidenews, Orton's return being delayed once again is not due to an injury but for the purposes of a storyline.
It is unclear who he may be coming back into a feud with but clearly they didn't want to start building it up at the Royal Rumble.
Orton wasn't the only expected return that didn't make it to the Royal Rumble with Bo Dallas and Heath Slater both in attendance and not appearing on the show.
Dallas has been out for several months with an injury whilst Slater was involved in some legal issues.
All three men are however expected to be returning soon and will be utilised in the run up to WrestleMania XXXI.
A controversial night
The Royal Rumble 2015 contained one of the greatest triple threat matches for the WWE World Heavyweight championship in recent years.
Despite a great championship match, the main event was met with heavy criticism due to several issues that the WWE Universe were unhappy with.
Fan favourite Daniel Bryan faced early elimination, long time projected winner Roman Reigns eventually won and the ending to the match was just generally not good.
The WWE Universe were left outraged and voiced their opinions in the form of boos, traffic barrages and even getting '#cancelWWENetwork' trending number one worldwide on Twitter.
When the event came to an end, everyone was interested to see how the issues would expand on tonight's episode of RAW but with it scheduled to take place in Connecticut, the show has essentially been cancelled due to a very severe blizzard that is plaguing the entire north-east of America.
It looks like we will have to wait a little longer to find out how the issues raised at the Royal Rumble will be resolved.
