Super Bowl Media Day: Weirdest, funniest and worst tweets

Super Bowl Media Day is a circus, not a media event - and it certainly lived up to the billing on the first day of scheduled events.

The New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks go head-to-head this Sunday at the University of Phoenix Stadium, but for now the focus remains on Deflate-gate, or at least it did.

Even before Media Week, the Patriots held no less than four press conferences to address the subject - Tom Brady, Bill Belichick and even owner Robert Kraft have taken to the stage to address the accusations.

That topic was largely ignored this afternoon though, as Brady and co were subjected to a barrage of inane questions covering all the key areas - favourite music, favourite fluffy toys, you know, the key stuff.

Here's the best bits...

So, it was busy...

But who invited this guy?!?

Then Bill Belichick arrived and started talking about cuddly toys...

And Rob Gronkowski wanted to sing Katy Perry tunes all day...

Before he then read an excerpt from 'A Gronking to Remember' - a Gronkowski themed erotic novel...

One more, Vintage Gronk this...

Gronk's teammate Big Vince Wilfork then provided us with his 'getting pumped' pre-game tunes...

Inexplicably, LeGarrette Blount thought Game Day was today...

His QB, Tom Brady, was in chill mode...

While Gisele made it clear she is sticking by her man, Deflate-gate or no Deflate-gate...

This guy made sure he had all angles covered...

And then there was Marshawn Lynch, with undoubtedly the best catchphrase of the day...

Which apparently meant Lynch won Media Day...

So Marshawn Lynch for president...

But some people weren't as happy...

But then again...

So, what was the deal with Lynch...

As for this guy? I don't think he's bothered, mate...

Because to be fair, would you answer questions from these chumps?

Elsewhere, Seahawks star Richard Sherman gave an insight into his Super Bowl preparation plans...

Linebacker Bobby Wagner kills the holiday vibe straight away...

Yo, Michael Bennett, who got the best booty though?

Then, Kam Chancellor came along with the Bam Bam Gavel! Mike Tolbert still having nightmares...

And best outfit went to Seahawks safety Earl Thomas...

But best dance moves? That's Sherman all day...

And Ricardo Lockette fancied a hair cut, because, you know, why the hell not?

But this just about sums up the whole day...

Actually, no, this sums it up...

And we'll do it all again tomorrow. Can't wait.
