Anderson Silva and Dana White have apparently been at odds recently. Rather than arguing over a big fight though, it is the Brazilian's request to change his entrance music that has raised tensions.

The Brazilian fighter wanted to have his friends, best selling hip-hop artist, Usher and a gospel preacher produce a new song for him but Dana White overruled the former champ.

A special moment denied

For a long time Silva has used DMX's cover of "Ain't No Sunshine" but revealed every time he asks to change it, the UFC President just rebuffs him.

"Ask Dana. Everytime that I talk about changing my song, he says no. Pregador Luo (Preacher Luo, in the translation) was working with Usher, who is my personal friend, in a new song but it seems that Dana doesn't want me to change, so we won't change." He told members of the Brazilian media.

Silva explained the reasoning behind wanting a song change is that he feels his remarkable return to the ring is just like his first time.

"It's like my first time stepping inside the, you know? Everything is feeling so new for me. I'm returning. Man, I have to win. I'm feeling like a kid with a new toy."

After a 14 month lay-off, he's set to main event UFC 183 against Nick Diaz on Saturday night butwith the same entrance music, it'll be more like old times.

Not the first time UFC has denied a change

The denial of Silva's song change isn't the first time that the UFC have denied a fighter the option to change their music.

On The Joe Rogan Experience, former WEC Bantamweight champion, Urijah Faber revealed that the UFC won't let him change his entrance music either.

Denying these changes is surprising considering the UFC were once tricked by someone pretending to be Rory MacDonald for years and never once raised a complaint.

It's not the WWE, the UFC fighters don't need a specific song for fans to associate the fighters with and they're trying too hard to make the rest of the fight build-up a spectacle.

So, if Silva does go out and win like he wants to, you'll have to assume he'll try once again to get his music changed.
