With the final weekend before the close of transfer window on the horizon, Manchester United fans will be hoping the club make late movements as they go in search of improving their squad ahead of the final few months of the season.
There's no doubt about it, this January transfer window, in contrary to the previous one, has been extremely quiet for Louis van Gaal and Co. at Old Trafford, but there is still time.
Here are some of the biggest Manchester United transfer stories today...
FIFA rules block Hernandez deal
The Daily Star have reported that Lazio will not complete a deal to bring Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez to Italy in this transfer window because of FIFA rules.
Hernandez, who is currently on loan at Spanish giants, has endured a tricky time in La Liga as he's failed to establish himself as a regular in Carlo Ancelotti's side.
However, because he can't play for three clubs in the same season, he won't be completing a move to Lazio anytime soon.
€150m set for Bale
Sticking with Real Madrid, and Spanish daily AS have reported that Manchester United have set aside as much as €150 million in order to land Welsh wizard Gareth Bale.
It appears that the Red Devils are determined to bring the former Tottenham man back to England's elite division, but it remains to be seen as to whether Real would be willing to accept a possible world record offer.
Confident of Clyne deal
The Mirror, meanwhile, have reported that Manchester United are confident of securing a deal for Southampton full-back Nathaniel Clyne next summer.
United, of course, landed him former teammate Luke Shaw this past summer, and could now bring Clyne to the Theatre of Dreams.
