Manchester United superstar Angel di Maria was left shaken after an attempted raid at his house, according to the Manchester Evening News.
The report has suggested that thieves attempted to break into the Argentine international's home just hours after the player starred in United's 3-1 victory over Leicester City at Old Trafford.
Thankfully, though, the thieves failed to steal anything as an alarm was triggered after they attempted to smash down his patio doors.
It appears, then, that the former Real Madrid man, who only moved to Manchester this past summer, had only just returned home from the clash at the Theatre of Dreams.
Despite the terrible ordeal, Di Maria will no doubt be pleased that nothing was taken from his home, as he now looks to get back to normal.
On the pitch
Manchester United fans will most certainly be hoping that their star man produces the goods over the upcoming weeks and months of the season.
Despite a wonderful start to his United career, the midfielder has struggled for consistency of late, but will be hoping to hit top form sooner rather than later.
With United set for FA Cup replay action with League Two outfit Cambridge United tomorrow evening, it remains to be seen as to whether Di Maria will be handed a starting role under the Old Trafford lights.
Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal could yet rest the midfield ace, but will no doubt play a strong side on home soil, with the competition acting as the club's only realistic chance to land silverware in this campaign.
If Di Maria is left out, then he will no doubt return to the setup for the club's showdown with West Ham United this weekend.
After Southampton were beaten on home soil yesterday, United finished the weekend in third place as they go in search of claiming a place in next year's Champions League.
