It is a well known fact that WWE book Wrestlemania well in advance, meaning that this year's epic event would already have been locked for months.
That being said, it seems that one of the biggest matches on the card has been changed at the request of Daniel Bryan.
The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion was set to face Sheamus at this years Showcase of the Immortals, a match that should have taken place at last year's Wrestlemania is Daniel Bryan hadn't played his part in occupy Raw and before the Yes Movement took over WWE.
Sheamus hasn't been seen in WWE since the week before Survivor Series when he sustained an injury. Since it has been rumoured he would be returning in last Sunday's pay-per-view but this wasn't to be and now the Irish Superstar's future looks to be up in the air.
It also now seems that Daniel Bryan will be facing another former World Champion in Dolph Ziggler on the "Grandest stage of them all." The two engaged in a Twitter exchange last week which saw Dolph ask Daniel for a match so that they could "Steal the show" and Bryan replied simply with "I'm in."
The speculation has now ramped up today as the news came out that Bryan had approached WWE Officials and asked for the match with "The Showoff."
Dolph and Bryan haven't locked horns since 2013 and the on-going thought is that one of the two will turn heel heading into Wrestlemania.
If anyone right now could turn Daniel Bryan heel it would be Dolph and vice versa. Dolph is one of the biggest faces in the company right now and after a successful Survivor Series campaign and being rehired the week before The Royal Rumble, the fans are fully behind Ziggler.
That being said, Daniel Bryan's elimination at last Sunday's Royal Rumble saw the WWE Universe turn on every other competitor who was involved and even boo eventual winner Roman Reigns.
The two have such big followings in WWE at the moment that it's impossible to see WWE being capable of turning one of the two heel. Which means we could have a face off between the two faces and the match could be done in a way that sees them fight as friends, which would satisfy the audience a lot more than if either were forced to turn.
