Atlanta Hawks incredible winning streak comes to an end

Unbelievably the best winning streak in the NBA has come to an end as the Atlanta Hawks 19 game streak ended in a heavy defeat to the New Orleans Pelicans tonight.

The Pelicans got the huge win over the number one team in the Eastern conference fell to a surprising defeat.

It wasn't even a close game for the Pelicans who were never really in trouble as they went on to win 115-100.

New Orleans 15 point win was largely off the back of Anthony Davis impressive 29 point game along with an incredible 13 rebounds and three assists.

Eric Gordon came away with 20 points for the Pelicans and both Ryan Anderson and Tyreke Evans scored 15 to help them to a big win.


The Pelicans have now won six of their last seven games and are now on a two game winning streak ahead of their double header against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday and Friday night.

A first loss in 19 games could be very damaging for the Hawks who will now need to get back to winning ways against the Washington Wizards on Wednesday night.

Grizzlies grind it out

Just when everyone thought that Phoenix had had its fair share of last second drama with Super Bowl XLIX on Sunday night, there was more to be seen at the Talking Stick Resort Arena.

The Memphis Grizzlies got a huge one point win over the Phoenix Suns and it was largely thanks to the performance of Marc Gasol.

Jeff Green's free throw with four seconds left gave them the point they needed to get the win but it was Gasol who blocked Markieff Morris's jump shot with just 0:01 left.

Gasol came away with 15 points, eight assists and six rebounds to cap a huge night for the Memphis center.

Brooklyn win it late

The Brooklyn Nets got a very late win over the LA Clippers in a game with a packed final eight seconds.

With just eight second left in the fourth quarter, Chris Paul levelled the game for the Clippers but it wasn't enough.

When the clock had just 0:01 remaining, Jarrett Jack hit a 17 foot jump shot to make the score 102-100 and give the Nets a huge win.

Brook Lopez was the top scorer for the Nets with 24 whilst Joe Johnson came away with 22 points to help guide Brooklyn to victory.

Milwaukee pull it off

The Milwaukee Bucks impressive season continued tonight as they got a huge win over the Toronto Raptors at the Air Canada Center.

Despite being the second seed in the Eastern conference, the Raptors fell to an 82-75 loss to the Bucks and fell to 33-16 on the season.

The Bucks have now won four games in a row and will go into their clash with the LA Lakers on Wednesday night full of confidence.
