Justin Gabriel decided to quit WWE the day before Royal Rumble almost one year since CM Punk decided to leave the wrestling company the day after Royal Rumble in 2014.
But unlike Punk, Gabriel's decision to leave had more to do with the fact that the company were reluctant to use his talents.
In new details revealed today, it has been reported that Gabriel made the decision to quit the company after they time and time again disappointed him with the lack of exposure he was offered.
Why Gabriel left WWE
It has been reported that on the Raw before Royal Rumble that he turned up for work as usual before officials declared that they had no work for him to do. It's said that Gabriel left the arena in the middle of the day and either went sight-seeing or sky-diving - as you do when your career's on the line.
Gabriel then returned to WWE's HQ for the night and officials still had nothing for him to do. He then left again as a result. That's when irony struck and WWE officials actually had something for him to do. By then, reports say it was too late and his mind was made up.

"Gabriel returned to the arena a few hours later and there was still nothing for him to do that night. Gabriel decided right there that he didn't want to be in WWE any more," NoDQ reported.
"Gabriel then booked his flight home and in between connecting flights, received a phone call from WWE Talent Relations head Mark Carrano.
"Carrano told Gabriel that they had booked a RAW segment for him but couldn't find him anywhere in the arena. Gabriel reportedly told Carrano that he left the building and was quitting the company."
