The Miz is a temperamental sort of fellow at the best of times when he's on screen, but it seems that the WWE superstar carries over some of those characteristics in real world interviews.
But it seems that the former WWE Champion's latest rant might actually be from closer to the heart than Vince McMahon and the rest of the WWE's bigwigs would have liked.
Speaking to Ring Rust Radio, via Wrestling Inc, Miz revealed his disappointment and dejection at what he feels is a lack of respect from the WWE universe.
"I don't think I will ever get the respect I deserve in the WWE."
"I will never go to the Philadelphia's or the New York's and get cheered or get "Miz is Awesome". They just don't like me and don't respect me," Miz, real name Mike Mizanin replied when asked if he feels he needs to prove himself more to fans or other wrestlers behind the scenes.

Miz came in to the WWE through Tough Enough, the reality show the company ran to try and find their next star who won a WWE contract and $1,000,000. Miz didn't actually even win Tough Enough, he was the runner up to Daniel Puder, but WWE bosses liked what they saw and gave him a contract anyway.
Miz had only been a wrestler for a year before Tough Enough, he was a reality television star who had been on the air for a couple of years in various shows before deciding sports entertainment was for him. He still feels that people in the WWE look down on him for this.
"They don't respect the way I got to the WWE even though they respect people whose Daddy got them into the WWE which I find amazing to me," he proclaimed. "I felt like I did the right path and I did everything right. Obviously I did everything right because I am the one being successful and proving everyone wrong."
If The Miz's goal was to become more liked or respected it definitely isn't going to happen in his current story line work with Damien Mizdow. Mizdow is one of the most over wrestlers in the WWE right now and it seems that he is the one set for a bigger push after what is incredibly likely to be a WrestleMania match between the two in March.
