Fronting our Manchester United news this morning is something of a throwback thursday, with it being claimed once again that Louis van Gaal passed up on the chance to sign both Francesc Fabregas and Toni Kroos last summer. It’s said that the Dutchman could have landed either man, but decided against making such a move, instead preferring to sanction the arrivals of the likes of Ander Herrera and Daley Blind. Fabregas is currently excelling at Chelsea, whilst Kroos has become a lynchpin at Real Madrid. Another relative flashback sees David Moyes having shed light on his famous decision to ban chips at Old Trafford. The much-maligned boss revealed yesterday that he had to make the unpopular call due to overweight players. And lastly the agent of Radamel Falcao, Jorge Mendes, has implied his client could leave United at the end of the season, but insisted the Colombian would still play for a top club.
