Many WWE fans criticize the stagnation of John Cena's character, but WWE legend Bret Hart believes something else is holding him back.
Despite being arguably the most popular wrestler in the WWE, John Cena has received an incredible amount of criticism in the last couple of years.
Wrestling fans across the WWE Universe never question the commitment of John Cena to the pro-wrestling cause, but they do question his entertainment value. Many fans feel that Cena should turn heel after years of stagnation as a babyface, while others believe that Cena needs to remain a babyface because of the all of the support he receives from the younger generation of wrestling fans.
Room to improve
However, one wrestling legend believes Cena's weakness is not necessarily anything to do with the current state of his character, with Bret Hart opening up this week on the key area that he feels Cena can improve.
"He's a tireless champion that gives %100 every night but he could do a little better with some of his technical moves sometimes," Bret Hart told TheSportsVision.com.
Still one of the greatest
Despite his criticism of Cena's technique, Bret Hart says that he has nothing but admiration for Cena's commitment to WWE, adding that he is already one of the best wrestlers of all-time.
"He's one of the hardest working wrestlers there has ever been. He's been a great champion and an inspiring role model. It's not easy being John Cena and carrying all the weight of the company on your back all of the time," added Hart.
"What he's done with Make-A-Wish kids, and kids in general, is amazing. I think John Cena's established himself to be maybe one of the greatest wrestlers that ever lived."
