Wrestling legend Diamond Dallas Page is currently in hospital with a serious medical issue.
The former WCW and WWF star revealed on his Facebook that he is in an intensive care unit and will need immediate surgery for a throat problem that stopped his breathing and nearly killed him during a medical checkup.
Page said that he is suffering from Subglottic stenosis, which is a narrowing of the subglottic airway and can be life threatening if untreated.
Page said that he was visiting an ear, nose and throat doctor. The doctor put a camera tube now his nasal passages which picked up on the serious condition, and then actually triggered it.
"Hears something you don't see... Ever... (that's not what I wanna hear... that will get your mind going) he's says... This is really bad... REALLY BAD... there is virtually no space between your vocal cords... they're almost stuck together (that's not how he said but it was something like that) he said..."
Page continued by noting that as the doctor's exam continued, he was unable to breathe and they had to call 9-1-1 before eventually clearing out his vocal chords that allowed him to breathe normally again.
He has been in Intensive Care ever since, roughly two days. The 58-year old recently appeared at the Royal Rumble as a surprise entrant where he managed to pull out a few of his famous 'Diamond Cutters' before being eliminated by Rusev.
