Chris Jericho announced a few months ago that he would not be making a return to WWE on the "Road to Wrestlemania" or even play a part in the spectacular event itself, but that hasn't stopped him releasing his own Wrestlemania 31 card.
Sting and 'Taker
The former Undisputed WWE Champion talked to Bill Apter of 1wrestling.com the day of The 2015 Royal Rumble about the matches he would make for the "Showcase of the Immortals."
He included Sting vs Triple H, Bray Wyatt vs The Undertaker, Rusev vs John Cena and more surprisingly Daniel Bryan vs Brock Lesnar and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins up against Roman Reigns.
The last two matches are the only ones unlikely to be happening on March 29th, but that doesn't mean they couldn't if Seth Rollins cashes in at Fast Lane, because even though Brock Lesnar doesn't have a match, it doesn't mean he can't make an appearance.
Reigns to Win
Jericho also talked about Daniel Bryan and the situation he has found himself in, as he takes on Roman Reigns in just two weeks at WWE Fast Lane.
He said: "We know that Daniel Bryan is a guy that's super popular but we all know what Vince McMahon thinks. Daniel is not a Vince McMahon prototype wrestler where as Roman Reigns is. I'd like to see Roman win, I'd like to see him win the title at WrestleMania and see what do we really have with this guy. And if that's the case, then turn Daniel Bryan heel and put those two together, let them feud for the title back and forth."
Jericho said it's worth the risk to go with Roman Reigns winning the Royal Rumble because the only way to tell fans if will really buy into Reigns is if he goes all the way and main events WrestleMania 31. Jericho said if Reigns isn't super over at that point, then maybe it's time to pull back on the push.
This doesn't look like the route WWE are taking, with Roman Reigns perhaps more likely to turn heel during their rivalry, but Chris Jericho has shown that he has some bright ideas for Wrestlemania season and maybe the creative team should be listening to what he has to say.
