Chelsea could be interested in swapping goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois for Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane, reports the Express.
Citing sources in Spain, it has been suggested that the Spanish giants have now made Blues shot-stopper Thibaut Courtois their priority goalkeeping target.
Courtois, who previously spent a period on loan at Atletico Madrid, returned to Chelsea this past summer, and has been in tremendous form for Jose Mourinho's side throughout the course of the campaign.

However, it now appears that Real are ready to take him back to La Liga, with the report claiming that Iker Casillas could leave the club this summer.
There's no doubt about it, despite previously being recognised as one of the best goalkeepers in world football, Casillas has endured a tricky time in Spain over recent years.

It's certainly not surprising that Real boss Carlo Ancelotti is ready to set his sights on Courtois, with the Belgian international quickly establishing himself at the elite level.
However, a huge twist in the saga could yet see Real defender Varane complete a move to Stamford Bridge.
Varane, who made his breakthrough at the Bernabeu under the guidance of Jose Mourinho, could yet be reunited with the Portuguese tacticion in the near future.
The French international, who starred at this past summer's World Cup, is one of the leading young defenders in world football, but has struggled for game time under Carlo Ancelotti in recent time.
With the likes of Sergio Ramos and Pepe starring at the Bernabeu, Varane has failed to hold down a permanent position in the club's starting XI.
And, with Jose Mourinho seemingly building for the long term, Varane would no doubt prove quite the coup for the Blues, but it remains to be seen as to whether the club would be willing to let Courtois move in the other direction.
