Manchester United are considering selling Angel Di Maria to Paris Saint Germain this summer in order to fund moves for Mats Hummels and Diego Godin.
The Daily Express, citing incredible reports from Spain, claims that United are willing to accept £60 million from the French giants for the Argentine winger.
Di Maria at United
Signed for £59.5 million from Real Madrid in the summer, Di Maria has had an indifferent season in Manchester and has openly admitted he is struggling with the weather and learning English.
It has also been widely reported over recent months that PSG was Di Maria's preferred destination before he signed for United. The Ligue 1 champions are reportedly considering meeting United's valuation, as they look to offload strikers Ezequiel Lavezzi and Edinson Cavani.
Van Gaal plans
The Reds manager Louis Van Gaal is looking to boost his defensive options, as he too looks to offload players. The Daily Star believe that Chris Smalling and Phil Jones are surplus to requirements at Old Trafford and their departures could help pave the way for Godin and Hummels.
Godin was part of the Atletico Madrid team that won La Liga last season and is a mainstay in the Uruguayan national team. He would bring assurance and composure to a defence that has been constantly changing throughout the season and has been littered with mistakes.
It's claimed Van Gaal has become frustrated at the fact neither Smalling or Jones has been able to adapt to his 3-5-2 formation and has told club officials the pair must be replaced regardless of whether Champions League qualification is gained or not.
Hummels has been part of a struggling Borussia Dortmund team this season but the German defender still has a number of suitors, with Bayern Munich and Real Madrid long-time admirers of a player who is comfortable with the ball at both feet.
