WWE fans will be treated to an epic face-to-face confrontation at the Fastlane pay-per-view tonight when Sting finally meets Triple H.
Sting was called out by WWE COO Triple H on this week's Raw, and finally Sting rose to the challenge of meeting HHH, albeit confirming his appearance with the aid of a body double.
But while it's great to finally have the prospect of Sting at a WWE pay-per-view, many fans are still wondering why its taken the wrestling legend so long to commit to a deal.
Why has it taken so long?
According to WWE legend Ric Flair, who spoke exclusively with GiveMeSport on Tuesday, he says Sting never committed to WWE because of the schedule demands.
"He's great and he's made a great decision. He finally caved after I've been begging him for 20 years so I'm so happy for him," Flair told GiveMeSport on Tuesday in an exclusive interview.
"I don't know whether he wanted to work that hard because it's a very demanding schedule. I think the contract that he has now he tailored to what he can do which is should be."
On his terms
Furthermore, Flair explains the reason that Sting has decided to finally join WWE is because his contract is firmly on his own terms.
"It's a contract that he can live with and he's able to managed his time with it and I'm just glad he's going to get the big time recognition he's deserved his whole career because he's a wonderful guy."
