Peyton Manning's future with the Denver Broncos and in the NFL has been one of the hottest topics in football over the last couple of months.
Ever since the Broncos' playoff exit at the hands of Indianapolis Colts at the start of January, speculation has been rife that Manning will simply decide to walk away from the game.
Before the end of the season, Manning initially spoke of his desire to return but after a brutal playoff exit, his tune changed and he insisted he would need plenty of time to mull things over.
Now it appears as though Manning is more than ready to give it another go, with reports suggesting his decision to work out in the last few weeks is a clear indicator that he's planning on coming back.
However, in news that broke on Wednesday, NFL insider for Bleacher Report Jason Cole has revealed that after all of the talk it is now the Broncos who are undecided about having Manning back for the 2015 NFL season.
- Peyton Manning's form should worry Denver Broncos fans
- Peyton Manning career decision date set
- Manning stunned as Luck takes Colts to AFC Championship
"At this point in his career, the Broncos could fail Peyton Manning for any reason, including the four neck surgeries that he has already had," NFL insider Jason Cole revealed in a video on Bleacher Report.
"In talking to sources close to the team, there's a big question here about whether the Broncos want to bring him back for one more year. They're going to have to feel very comfortable about this."
This is terrible news for Broncos fans and there's no denying it. Denver need Manning back for next season or else they will completely fall off a cliff.
The fact that the Broncos are even contemplating life without Peyton should worry Denver fans beyond belief. There are no other options out there at quarterback that allow the Broncos to play anywhere near at the same level as they have been in the last three seasons.
But what do you think Broncos fans? Should Denver do everything in their power to get Peyton to play again in 2015? Leave your thoughts in the comments section below.
