WWE: Triple H labels Chyna abuse allegations "reckless" in official statement

Published 35 Comments

Triple H has today issued an official statement in relation to allegations made by former WWE Diva Chyna in which she accused the COO of hitting her towards the end of their four year relationship.

Official response

HHH's response, which can be seen in full further down this article, is a strong rebuttal of the claims which were originally made during a recent interview with PyroandBallyhoo.com

Triple H has had to react to a number of controversies in recent times. Indeed it was only towards the end of 2014 that the Superstar was accused of racism by former wrestler Alberto Del Rio.

The official statement released by Triple H reads as follows:

"The false statements and reckless allegations made by John Laurer (aka Chyna) on a recent podcast about a physical dispute are a complete fabrication. While Joan has had a significant struggles in life, this does not justify making such claims."

Original accusations

Triple H and Chyna dated while both were wrestling in the then WWF but, per the former Diva's version of events, the relationship ended after Triple H struck her when she confronted him about his affair with Stephanie McMahon.

Chyna's recent interview say her describe the moment she claims Triple H got violent:

"He swiped my hand, I swiped his hand, he hit me. I went back like Jerry Springer and then I was like OK that's the deal breaker for me, the relationship is now over, so now I have to leave."

It is this accusation that has forced HHH to respond today. We suspect though that this won't be the last either side has to say on the matter considering the seriousness of subject matter.

Recent headlines

Triple H recently left the door open to Chyna taking her place in the WWE Hall of Fame, a move many did not see coming considering the frosty relationship she has had with the organization's higher ups in recent years.

HHH did though mention that her latter career in the adult film industry has proven a major stumbling block in terms of recognizing her accomplishments in the wrestling business.

Clearly the WWE is backing Triple H on this latest twist to the saga though with his official statement being released through WWE themselves.
