WrestleMania is the pinnacle of the WWE calendar as every year the organization's top Superstars perform on the 'Grandest stage of them all'.
This year's incarnation, WrestleMania XXXI in Levi's Stadium, is sure to be no different but one rising Superstar has made some interesting comments regarding potential future matches at the big event.
Not for everyone
Sami Zayn, who will tonight take part in the headline match of NXT Takeover, has shot down suggestions that the WWE should add a NXT World Championship match at WrestleMania.
"I think if you were to have an NXT World Championship Match at WrestleMania while obviously for me personally it would be a huge thrill, I don't think you can necessarily capture the magic of what NXT is and really harness it and put it on full display for the world to understand, on such a grand scale like that." - Zayn on potential NXT match at WM31
While WWE has taken some criticism in recent times for the quality of its shows and storylines, NXT has been the shining light of the promotion - advancing from strength to strength as its fan base continues to grow.

Zayn therefore, speaking in an interview with the Chad Dukes Wrestling Show, expressed fears that taking NXT out of its usual surroundings would be a mistake.
"Lifelong wrestling fans who are discovering NXT and being like 'Wait, this is the kind of wrestling I used to like' or 'I like this,' It's succinct. It's an hour long, you've got some great wrestlers, and you've got great storytelling and it's simple and it's gritty."
"The whole point I'm trying to get at is, it's sort of carved out its own little niche within this giant wrestling company that is the WWE. We've almost carved out our own underground following...which is so strange to say because it's part of the world's biggest wrestling company."
Their own world
The words carry extra weight considering they come from the current WWE NXT Champion and give an interesting insight into how those involved in the supposed lesser production view their position in the company.
Zayn will of course one day hope to take a position on the card at WrestleMania but he certainly doesn't seem to be advocating letting the show use the popularity of NXT at a time when it might be needed.
A more pressing concern though for the Superstar will be his title defense against Kevin Owens which takes place on NXT TakeOver: Rival tonight.
What do you think WWE fans? Would you like to see an NXT title match at WrestleMania, or should the WWE keep things separate. Let us know in the comments section below...
