Shawn Michaels seems like one of those wrestlers that could put on incredible shows until his 60's, but the Heart Break Kid has revealed why he rejected the chance to make a return.
Michaels was talking to Brian Fritz of Between The Ropes about his new book "Wrestling for My Life: The Legend, the Reality and the Faith of a WWE Superstar," when he revealed that he had rejected the chance to make a return in 2013.
Back in October of 2013, Michaels made a small comeback when he appeared in some stuff with Daniel Bryan - whom he actually taught as a young upstart - which ended up with Michaels delivering a Sweet Chin Music to Bryan who responded with a Yes Lock a week later.
Michaels revealed that he was actually offered the opportunity to turn that into a full on feud culminating in a match at a big Pay-Per-View, but he rejected because it seemed so cliche and boring.
"Yeah, I realize that a lot of people certainly got that. I guess from my perspective it certainly is a good idea but it's one of those ones, I guess from my standpoint, a good idea is one that would really intrigue me," Michaels started off.

"That's not one of those of those ones where you go 'wow, what are the chances of someone coming up with that?' That's teacher - student, that's been done, and again I'm not knocking it, I'm just saying that is not some kind of new, innovative idea."
It seems that even now Michaels is a trendsetter with an eye only for the best in what he does. We've seen the whole teacher and student facing off angle multiple times like HBK said and it's boring now with the same ending every time.
Michaels has done pretty much everything there is to do in the WWE so it would take something special to make him come back, something really out of left field like Bray Wyatt for example.
So WWE fans what do you think, should HBK make a return to the WWE and who would you like to see him face? Give us your thoughts in the comments below...
