Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has instructed scouts to monitor the progress of Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson closely for the rest of this season, with The Sun reporting that the 22-year-old is a shock target for the Premier League leaders.
Wilson has been sensational in the Championship for the Cherries so far this term, scoring 15 goals in 30 games.
The youngster's mix of pace, power and clinical finishing has caught the attention of Mourinho, who is searching for reliable cover that can take the goal burden off Diego Costa's sizeable shoulders next season.
Drogba & Remy replacements targeted
Mourinho is clearly planning a shake-up in attack this summer, with Didier Drogba ready to retire and Loic Remy's long-term future still very much open to debate.
Chelsea will need reinforcements up front as a result and the Blues boss is ready to cast his net far and wide in search of fresh, hungry alternatives to Costa, which means his top scouts will be regulars at Dean Court over the next few weeks and months.

Don't expect a formal bid any time soon
Bournemouth should take interest from the country's top side in their strike star as a huge compliment, a sign of just how far both Eddie Howe's side and the England under-21 international have come over the last 12 months.
Wilson clearly has huge potential and has found a ruthless streak in front of goal over the last 18 months that demands attention, but talk of a move to Stamford Bridge is surely premature at this stage.
The impressive forward is far better served playing every week for Bournemouth and waiting for the right opportunity than letting Chelsea attention go to his head, after all his development will likely not be served by sitting on the bench at the Bridge every week and waiting for cup games to roll round.
Howe's side have a genuine shot at reaching the top flight in their own right this season, which means Mourinho will likely maintain his watching brief for now and find a more experienced striker to replace Drogba when the time comes.
