Panuphol Pittayarat wins house after True Thailand Classic hole-in-one

Hole-in-one prizes are normally quite spectacular. The latest car, a trip into space and now even the keys to a house are usually on offer.

If one of the players at the True Thailand Classic manages the feat of a hole-in-one at the 192 yard par three, 14th a three bedroom house would be theirs.


Panuphol Pittayarat who was in the midst of a difficult round as he was five over par as he reached the 14th hole. Using his trusted six iron he made the perfect contact which sent his ball roll into the cup for a hole in one.

The 22-year-old had just won himself a new house which is currently being developed on the course, situated along the ninth fairway.


‘I wasn't sure if it had gone in, but one of the guys ran up and he said there's no golf ball on the greens.’ He added: ‘I feel like I've won this golf tournament!’

Pittayarat didn’t manage to make the cut by the end of the days play as he shot four shots more than required. He can spend the extra time planning on how he will decorate the new Townhouse that has come into his possession.


‘It's the second time I got a hole-in-one in my career. I didn't really think I would ace that hole’ he added.

He continued with a beaming smile: ‘All I got the first time was two shots but this time I really got something. I've seen the pictures of the house every day since I arrived here. And now it's mine.’
